Notice of Vacancy in the Office of Councillor
Nailstone Parish Council
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Nailstone Parish Council.
If by 21 February 2025 (14 days excluding Dies Non, after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill the vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the Nailstone Parish, an election will be held to fill the vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.
If an election is called, it will take place no later than 30 April 2025

D-Day 80 Celebration
Watch a brief overview of the event commemorating the D-Day 80. Hosted at the village church on 6th June 2024 and organised by the History group this event featured guest speaker John Matthews with a talk about the history of the Gopsall Park, Kathleen Elkin with stories of parishioners from the war times, D-Day Daisies, a singing group formed by ladies especially for this event, displays of items from the war and stories of locals remembering those days.
