Events

30th November - Christmas Wreath Making
Join us for an afternoon or evening where you can learn to create your very own Christmas Wreath. The cost of this event is £25 and includes all materials and refreshments. All proceeds go to the Nailstone Gardening Group, to make our village beautiful. Please email teresa@workplace-rm.com or message Teresa Brearley on Facebook messenger.


1st December - Nailstone Christmas Light Switch on
Please come along and help us start the Festive Season with the grand Christmas tree light switch-on ceremony. Gather outside the Nut & Squirrel on 1st December at 6:30pm. Refreshments and carols will follow in the garden.

 

7th December - All Saints Church Christmas Fair
Join us from 11am – 1pm for lots of Christmas cheer. There will be craft stalls, a raffle, chocolate, and teddy tombola’s and lots more. You can fill up on Coffee, Mince pies, and Soup and a Roll.

 

14th December - All Saints Church Children’s Party
Santa would like to invite the children of Nailstone to a party at All Saints Church, from 2pm to 4pm. There will be crafts, story time and singing, party food and a chance to get a lovely gift from Santa. So please come and join us – also, please tell the grown-ups that this is free!

 

19th December - Nailstone Christmas Sing-A-Long
In place of songs around the tree, this year, All Saints Church and Nailstone Community Group would like to welcome everyone to celebrate “Christmas in Song”. The event is free of charge, you are welcome to make donations to either the Church or the Community Group. This will be a fun filled event, with:
• Christmas songs and Carols
• Festive drinks and refreshments
• Silly or festive jumpers and accessories are encouraged for the Grown Ups
• We would love to see the Children in fancy dress – costumes are available in the Church
• A prize for the best dressed window
• A gift for all the children who enter the ‘ The Snowman Trail’ competition

4th January 2025 - Senior Citizens Lunch
Nailstone Community Group and All Saints Church would like to welcome the community Seniors to a new year lunch on 4th January 2025 at 12pm. If you would like to attend, please let Catherine or Wendy know– they can be found at the Church Coffee Mornings every Tuesday from 10:30am, at the Church. Please let us know as soon as possible – numbers are limited. There is no cost for this event.

There are two defibrillators in Nailstone for Community use in an emergency. They are located at the junction of Main Street/Occupation Road at the junction of Main Street/A447 Hinckley Road

Jubilee Park

The Aldi distribution centre has established a large park for the community. You are able to hire the Education Centre for private events by contacting nailstonecountrypark@maydencroft.co.uk  or jez.perkins@maydencroft.co.uk
