Potential road closure - 16th July 2018

The Parish Council were contacted by Pall-Ex regarding potential road closure from Monday 16th July for 6 weeks. Concern has been raised in relation to the number of lorry movements and lack of public consultation.

Friday 18 May - all Parish Open Police Meeting

The Police have acknowledged that they do not attend all Parish Council meetings because it isn't feasible due to the sheer size of this beat.

Nailstone Defibrillator Awareness Training

We welcomed Anthony Parkes (West Leicestershire Community First Responder Group) to All Saints Parish church at the beginning of March to provide training to 20 villagers.

Anthony demonstrated basic life support and then allowed time to practice the technique. He demonstrated how to use the defibrillator and allowed group members to "have a go".

Report a HGV

At the recent Parish Council meeting the ongoing concerns about HGV's travelling through the village was discussed and it was agreed that the clerk would contact companies to ascertain a point of contact so that reports of HGV's could be forwarded to them.
