Advance Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

A temporary traffic regulation order (TTRO) is to be made for the following location: Wood Lane, Nailstone. The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Buckingham Group to facilitate new junction work and highway maintenance. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of 3 days commencing on the 17th May2019.

Advance notice of temporary traffic regulation order

LCC have notified the parish council that a temporary traffic regulation order has been made for Main Street and Bagworth Road, Nailstone, see attached plan. The purpose of this is to allow LCC to facilitate carriageway maintenance work.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of 2 days commencing on the 4th February 2019.

Parish Council events

During the year the parish council were involved in several events, one of those was the laying of two wreaths on Remembrance Sunday. Those in attendance heard two poems read by members of the parish councils and the names of all those who lost their lives were read out. The wreaths were laid by Lily Cox (5).

Robert's 129 bus service

We are pleased to inform you that Leicestershire County Council have been in discussion with Robert's who have agreed to run the 159 bus as a subsidised service from 23rd December 2018.

There will be no change from the existing timetable and route.

This will be in place until June 2019 when the service will be assessed and reviewed under the Passenger Transport Policy and Strategy (PTPS). More information... Read More »
